Frankly, it’s not a UFO
I’ve been working on several projects using worsted weight yarn (more about these next week) and I started to get tired of the sameness in gauge. My solution was to pick up my abandoned Fluted Banister socks from last September.
They looked like this when we last saw them, one leg and the second cuff just completed.
Not Math Smart
Madder Ribbed Update: I’m experiencing that sneaking feeling that I will be frogging these. I’m keeping them in their travel bag for a couple more days until I take a good look and make my decision.
A few days ago I said I was going to take a break from socks… at the time I typed that, I was thinking it wouldn’t be until early-mid-May before I started a new pair.
Red Pomatomus
I LOVE this pattern! I LOVE the yarn!
For Project Spectrum March, may I present to you these red Pomatomus socks?
Pattern: “Pomatomus” by Cookie A, Knitty, Winter 2005
Yarn: Over the Rainbow (eBay store) Twinkletoes, Rosegarden
Needles: US 2 DPNs and 24″ circulars
Started: March 2006
Completed: TBD
I haven’t been able to work on these much lately–the gusset decreases seemed to take forever, but I finally finished that part. I got to about 5″ total on the instep while watching Veronica Mars. I should have another 2-1/2″ to go before I start the toe. Tonight, maybe?
