Sock Yarn Love
I really do like sock yarn! They’re so colorful and fun to look at. Plus, you usually only need 1-2 skeins and that’s not as expensive as buying yarn for larger projects. Before I put myself on a yarn diet, I had acquired some fun and varied sock yarns. (Hey! Today, it’ll have been been 5 weeks! Yay!)
Color Blox Sox
They’re done! And just in time for the 6Sox deadline! : )
I didn’t spend much time on these socks for most of July for two reasons. I was so busy and tired from work, I needed “faster” projects (using thicker, worsted weight yarns). And I stalled on the swirling pattern. Last weekend, I picked them up again, and had no problems with the swirl. In fact, I liked it so much I changed the second sock to swirl the other way!
Sock Progress
During the past week, I finished the toes and insteps on the Color Blox Sox for 6Sox. I haven’t taken a real progress picture yet because it’s all stockinette. I did finish the heels last night, and they look great and fit very well, yay! I enjoyed this type of toe-up heel-flap-gusset construction. It seemed to go faster than the traditional cuff-down heel-flap-gussets (which always seem to take me forever). The Potluck Jewels (from my SP8, thanks!) I’m using for these socks look great knitted up.
