There were a lot of local knitbloggers there all weekend, but I didn’t see any familiar faces in the crowd.
What would you do?
Yesterday, I described our dyeing experience and showed you Mom’s skeins. Today, I wonder about possibilities.
Adventures in Dyeing
Quick note: I’m testing another photo plugin with this post. It has a different pop-up effect (and also comes with an integrated gallery). It has better captions and interaction than the last one, I think. Please let me know how it works for you. Thanks! : )
So, you all may remember that I registered Mom and I for a dyeing class at Shepherd’s Harvest and that I showed a teaser picture of our skeins. Finally, here are more pictures and more information about our class with Tracey Schuh.
Limbo
I’ve been in a weird sort of knitting limbo or apathy. I knit and knit, but I don’t seem to accomplish anything. Gauge is way off, the fabric sucks, the yarn looks ugly, et cetera.
This has all been caused by several factors, the largest of which is I still haven’t finished seaming the Cropped Cardi. The shoulders have been attached, but that’s it. I won’t allow myself to start a new, large-scale project until this cardigan is 100% complete.
It’s a bit silly, I know. But on the other hand, I’ve been unable to decide which project I should start next. A shawl? A sweater? A blanket? Deadlock!
Shepherd’s Harvest 2006
Mishmash
Quick Madder Ribbed socks update… I haven’t been able to work on them very much, but I plan to finish them both by tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed, except when knitting!
I have a BUSY weekend coming up. On Saturday, my parents and I are going to Shepherd’s Harvest. Althought I don’t have my secret pals’ (yes, plural) information yet, I’m hoping to get some fun gifts there. Then on Sunday morning, Mom and I are team-walking at Race for the Cure at MOA. (I’m debating whether I should bring a knitting project; I’m tempted, but I know it will be crowded, and I may not have an appropriate project for walking.)
Oh yeah! I’m hoping for some MDSW weather mojo… the weather prediction: rainy and cool this weekend. : /
Dyann tagged me for a meme. I don’t have a hubby or SO, so I skipped that. more »
