March Progress

09.Mar.07 ~ 8:40 am

A few days late, but I want to review my February goals:

  1. Finish Fluted Banister Socks Done!
  2. Warm up America squares for drop-off at Knit Out Done, but mailed instead.
  3. Start a pair of gift socks Done!
  4. Get yarn to finish Mom’s gift Failed! I never managed to make it to Borealis Yarn. If I don’t accomplish this task in March, I’ll see if I can find some online instead.
  5. Resume the Cropped Cardigan Done!

Pretty good! I’m not making a March “To Do” list. But it would be great if I finish the cardigan.

Stash details as of Mar 1, 2007

Total Yardage:

69,225 (39 miles or 63,299 m) -1,077

Sockage:

71 pairs, or 37% of stash

+2

Whoa! Even with recent additions, I somehow lost yardage this month. Hmm. There might be a mistake somewhere. I’m still tweaking my stash spreadsheet. But it’s cool to have red numbers! :)

February Progress

08.Feb.07 ~ 11:26 am

First, some excellent news! The Mermaid socks are finished! And I had just enough yarn to finish both toes (whew)! I’ll get pictures soon.

Now, I had a short to-do list for January. Let’s see how I did.

More Book Holders

03.Feb.07 ~ 7:13 pm

(Updated October 2007)

I’m glad the book holder reviews have already been helpful to some people. I decided to write up my experiences with the different holders I tried because it isn’t always possible to tell from looking at a picture at a website if something will work the way you want. During the searching process, I made a list of all book holders that might work for reading while knitting. The complete list appears below for anyone who is interested in trying other options. Long day, but nothing to show for it

12.Apr.06 ~ 5:25 pm

Today started out well, really, it did. I went walkabout in the neighborhood for 40 minutes and took my knitting with me. I didn’t see a soul while I was out, (this was about 8:45 to 9:30), but it was a good walk. I got through an orange stripe on the Madder socks.

I’m nearly done with the legs on the Sixth Sense Socks. I meant to take a photo today, but forgot. I’ll do that first thing tomorrow. The STR is amazingly soft and feels great next to my skin after the slightly scratchy Opal.

I didn’t get anything much done after my walk. I discovered that my posts weren’t displaying properly. (You had to be logged in as admin/owner to even see anything.) Arrgh… it took a few hours but it should be working properly again. I’m glad that’s over. But that’s why I got so little accomplished today, and my “To Do” list is definitely NOTHING to sneeze at. Tomorrow, I’ve promised myself, I’ll be able to check off more items.

Catch-Up

31.Mar.06 ~ 7:00 am

I finished the first week of two subbing fulltime at work. It wasn’t too bad, but next week is after Daylight Savings Time begins. Eek. On Wednesday, I couldn’t find a scarf I was wearing… I thought it had fallen onto the road or some such awful thing. I’d rather it get found and adopted by someone. Mom found it yesterday, though, so I’m happy! I had uploaded pictures of this scarf last week, but they’ve disappeared. Sigh. And after I had recycled the labels. I need to go and knit before I can cope with my long To Do list. : )
