I wanted to name this post “Steeking is Fun”
(Edited to Add: Grandma wants to say Hello to her neighbor Dorothy!)
But I thought that might scare away some people!
Here’s the dog pullover I’ve been working on since September. more »
Dog Days
It’s been a while since I last updated you all on Dad. He was able to go home in early October (nearly a month after the surgery). Last week, he had trouble breathing and the doctors found fluid around his lungs, so he was re-admitted to the hospital for treatment. He’s still at the hospital as he is currently struggling with nausea and loss of appetite, but hopes to be able to leave soon.
Since September, I’ve been working on two projects, but haven’t blogged about them. One of them is a test-knit I volunteered to do: Polarbears’ Cables and Colors baby set. more »
Somewhat Local Yarn Shop Crawl
In July, my family went up north for a quick visit and to bring Grandma down to the Cities. She was to stay a while with my parents before visiting the Michigan branch of her family.
I persuaded my parents to make a few stops on the way, so I could check out some of the yarn shops in the Brainerd Lakes area. (ETA: These shops are included in the upcoming Yarn Harvest Shop Hop, Sep 15-22! Information about this event can be found at the MN Knitter’s Guild website or at At Loose Ends.)
I have no title
The zebra socks are finally finished! I’ve snapped a few photos and will check and make sure they’re OK before I wrap and ship them off later today. We have absolutely no sunlight, it’s very overcast; I’m not promising great photos, but will post them tomorrow.
I found a new use for leftover sock yarn through Knitting Iris.
