My last shipment of Harmony semi-solid yarn arrived on the day before my birthday, how perfect!

With this little tablecloth or lace square, I completed my personal February challenge for Stash Down 2008: the Logan River Wrap, and something lacy with the Omo.

Omo. Once the knitting on Logan was complete, I was able to pick up this yarn again. I’ve been working steadily on it since.

Omo, Take 3

After the Jeanie fiasco, I perused my copies of Victorian Lace Knitting and Kinzel’s Modern Lace Knitting for ideas on what to knit next. It took a while (there are many lovely things to choose from!), but I finally decided on “English Crystal,” a square design from Kinzel’s first volume.

(Surprise! I have finally rolled out my new blog theme. Simple, but cute, and totally me. Stop by and check it out!)
Remember these socks? Frogged them. I thought the yarn (Omo) would be nice with something lacy. How about Jeanie? Pretty cables and dropped stitches? What could not be more fun?

Meet my new companion and assistant: minnie (shown on left). Treo is on the right, and he will be helping Mom now.
I love this little thing (BlackBerry Curve 8310). It’s similar in size to the Treo 650, but much thinner and lighter (65 g difference)!
I started a new sock on Wednesday night.

Somewhat Plain

Whee! These are the last pair of socks I needed to finish for holiday knitting. The original plan was to incorporate the leftovers from the other Italian series with this last colorway. That didn’t work out because I used up all of the yarn with the Broadripple and Yarrow socks. Nevertheless, these turned out [...]
