I didn’t make my goal of 40 books by August 31, but that’s OK. I got pretty close. I did finish my bonus goals, which was good. I knitted while reading a couple books. My shelves are all cleaned out and reasonably organized. I’ve got two shelves worth of books “To Read” and my knitting magazines and patterns are all in labeled holders and binders, yay! Thanks for the inspirational SRP, Kat. : )

Below are the last books I read for SRP. And tomorrow I’ll return to the regular knitterly programming!...

Apologies to any readers out there. I’m still unable to devote the time needed to post here regularly. I finally learned what’s going on at work and it appears that I will continue filling in every day for another two more weeks.

I also had a little trouble with my camera this weekend… I need to test things a little bit more (Monday night, I hope), but I think it’s OK now. I lost some pictures so I need to retake these and also photograph new stuff. ...

I found the SRP through Chris and signed up. My goal is to read 40 books by August 31. I’ve always been a voracious reader; Mom says I started reading when I was 3 years old. Then, I loved comic books (Archie and the gang, Uncle $crooge (my favorite) and the rest of the Disney characters). Next came Laura Ingalls (Wilder), Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden, the Bobbsey Twins, Anne of Green Gables, and many more. High school and college were my Fantasy/Science Fiction years. Now, I tend to read mysteries or thrillers, but have started reading Sci-Fi/Fantasy again.

I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting books. I’ve already added quite a few to my To Read list from reading blogs and look forward to finding more through the SRP....
