29.Feb.08 ~ 6:26 am

With this little tablecloth or lace square, I completed my personal February challenge for Stash Down 2008: the Logan River Wrap, and something lacy with the Omo.

ILY, Logan

25.Feb.08 ~ 6:53 am

The Logan River Wrap was such an enjoyable project. Everything went smoothly, the pattern repeat was easy to memorize. I did have yardage issues, but the wrap gained length during the blocking process, which made up for that.

Here’s some pretty yarn for you! This is the January shipment from the Harmony club (link in sidebar). Continue reading »

Now that I had a plan worked out for the Omo yarn, I decided to start the other stole I wanted to knit, the Logan River Wrap. I was attracted to its rustic tweedy, and cozy appearance. By lucky coincidence, when this issue of Interweave Knits (Winter 2007) arrived, WEBS had the exact yarn on sale, in a gorgeous deep purple. It was fate! Continue reading »

Omo, Take 3

06.Feb.08 ~ 6:52 am

After the Jeanie fiasco, I perused my copies of Victorian Lace Knitting and Kinzel’s Modern Lace Knitting for ideas on what to knit next. It took a while (there are many lovely things to choose from!), but I finally decided on “English Crystal,” a square design from Kinzel’s first volume. Continue reading »
