Did you know Atlantic Books at the MOA is holding a going-out-of-business sale (most things are discounted 40%)? I stopped by yesterday and the shelves were pretty messy, but I found a few gems: Yarnplay, Knitting Nature, Vogue Stitchionary 3, and Simply Baby. I noticed at least one copy each of Stitchionary 3 and Knitting Nature still available; other books I remember seeing include Knit 2 Together, Knit Fix, Itty Bitty Hats, Morehouse Farm Merino Knits and Suss Cousins’ Home Knits. (I don’t know if the chain is going out of business, or if it’s just this store.)
I really enjoyed reading everyone’s name suggestions for the Trekking XXL 76 during the “What’s in a color?” contest. They were all wonderful and inspiring. I could never choose just one. Lets see who the Random Number Picker chose.

Two quick things before paw business: The “What’s in a color?” (Contest #5) Winner will be posted tomorrow! And, several people asked about the yarn I’m using for the Yarrow Ribbed socks. The yarn is the Calzetteria shown here, specifically the Venice colorway. I finished them a couple days ago and will post FO pictures this week. :)

I recently completed a pair of socks with Trekking XXL in a lovely colorway, “76.” Well, I say that number leaves something to be desired. If a color number doesn’t have a corresponding name, then I usually come up with my own. But this time, I’ve decided to offer up a prize and see your suggestions. :)
