New design, and contests!
Posted by limedragon | Filed under bags or purses, contests, designs, knitting
Boy, it’s been a while since I last blogged. Where did the time go? Lately, I’ve felt like a snail… I concentrate on something for what seems like a couple hours, only to find out nearly a whole day has passed by. Since Starbucks has pretty much discontinued decaf Frappucinos, I’ve been thinking that I [...]

Chunkster/TBR Update

Here’s another local event to add to all the upcoming spring events: the local Yarn Shop Hop is back, this time as “Summer Knitting (and Crochet) on the Go.” Since I went last time, I’ll probably skip this one. But it’s a great opportunity to see shops that you might not usually visit or haven’t [...]

Pepperidge Farm has made available the ubitiquous Australian cookies for us here in the US. Yum! According to the website, they’re only available “for a limited time at Target.” Such wording makes me want to build up an emergency stash in my freezer.

Many appreciative thanks to everyone for the wonderful comments about my Bohus socks (last post)! I have been putting off blogging about another FO, because the project itself is… meh. I’m tempted to skip over it and blog about a nice lace scarf I just finished. We’ll see what I decide to do on Friday! [...]

Knitting Comics

If you like webcomics, there’s a new one for knitters: The Knit Princess. It’s on the cute side, but the material will certainly be familiar to us knitters! It started very recently, so you’ll be able to catch up quickly.
Many of you will already have heard of Handknit Heroes from blogs or Ravelry. It’s a [...]

Winner! (Contest #6)
Posted by limedragon | Filed under books, contests, general
It’s really cold here. Dangerously cold. But not as cold as the record-breaking winter of 1996. (When, as I recall, I layered a wool lumberjack coat over my regular coat to help withstand the low temperatures while waiting for the bus.)
Ravelry fans who drink coffee, tea, or other hot beverages may like the new dis/agree [...]

You know what I didn’t do in 2008? Hold any blog giveaways or contests! I had a couple in the works but couldn’t get my act together. Well, here is one of them, finally!
I’m giving away an autographed copy of Lorelle VanFossen’s Blogging Tips: What bloggers won’t tell you about blogging.
