Dog Days

It’s been a while since I last updated you all on Dad. He was able to go home in early October (nearly a month after the surgery). Last week, he had trouble breathing and the doctors found fluid around his lungs, so he was re-admitted to the hospital for treatment. He’s still at the hospital as he is currently struggling with nausea and loss of appetite, but hopes to be able to leave soon.
Since September, I’ve been working on two projects, but haven’t blogged about them. One of them is a test-knit I volunteered to do: Polarbears’ Cables and Colors baby set.
The body was a straightforward and fun knit. I mean, how could anyone resist these cute dogs? This will be my first steek project and I hope to set up the sewing machine today (Wish me luck!).
The sleeves were more challenging. I had a hard time maintaining even tension with the back-and-forth stranded colorwork combined with the intarsia/cable panel. It took several tries for me to get past the colorwork border on the bottom, so I’m really glad to have these finished.
I hope to have FO pullover pictures to show you all next week! :)
