Birthday Bling
My last shipment of Harmony semi-solid yarn arrived on the day before my birthday, how perfect!
It’s a yummy raisin color, and is quite close to my favorite dressy shade of lipstick and nail polish (yeah, like I wear lipstick all the time nowadays!). The colorway name, Ravissant (French for ‘lovely’), even seems lipsticky. And I love the little bits of silver in it. I’m almost afraid to consider making socks from this yarn… maybe something lacy, like a small scarf or shawl? We shall see!
I got some fun things from my parents, the first being a Sunpak PicturePlus FlexPod (similar to the GorillaPod appearing on some knit blogs). Now I can model hats or other knitwear for photos without having to recruit another person!
Instead of yarn, they gave me more books for my library, some magazines (not shown), and a color wheel. Thanks, parental units! : )

That yarn is very pretty - I always think of the word ravishing when I read that particular French word.
