Virtual Vacation
I got to visit West Virginia, courtesy of Heather C, for the Knitter’s Virtual Vacation Swap!
The first thing I saw when I opened the box was this cute pink mesh tote. Love the big floral print on it! She included a postcard of the New River Gorge Bridge and brochures for the Sunrise Carriage Trail, the Morris Harvey Guest House, and a state map.
Heather also sent the Summer 2007 issue of Interweave Knits, which has a good article/pattern on toe-up socks. The book on the right is a Leisure Arts book/pamphlet, Passion for Cables. It has lots of gorgeous patterns. It’s a really nice, updated format for Leisure arts; the pages are glossy and the pictures are large with at least one additional view available for each pattern.
I love this little DPN holder she made, it’s perfect for keeping the oft-used sizes in my bag. The poncho book has some cute baby/kid ponchos as well as some lovely cabled versions. The animal crackers were delicious!
It wouldn’t be a Knitter’s swap without some lovely yarn! The pretty pink of this Tofutsies will be perfect for socks next spring. I also look forward to trying th Tazo Calm herbal tea.
Thank you Heather, for the fun vacation in West Virginia! Three extra cheers to her for sending a new package after the contents of the original disappeared during transit.

Nice loot!
Hey, that was a nice package, and a nice swapper to replace everything.
Nice little package!
Great package! Love the bag! I could start a group for bag addicts lol.
What a great bag of treats! I’ve had that tea before and it’s really good. I think you’ll enjoy it. :)
That’s a Leisure Arts booklet? Wow, they’ve changed. Fabulous bag of treats you got there!

I think you should have timed your vacation to miss the snow. ;)
