Beauties

May I distract you today with a couple of beauties from my mom’s garden? : )
Wait a minute! What’s that yarn doing there? I wish I could tell you Mom has made the scientific breakthrough of the generation and figured out a way to grow wool from plants. And nope, I didn’t break my Yarn Diet and buy some yarn (just passed 15 days).
I won the Cascade 220 as a prize in Diva Knitting’s recent blogiversary contest! How fortuitous that the color selected was purple; mmm, purple! I’d love to make a hat and neckwarmer or mitten set for myself with this. Any recommendations?

Is the yarn feltable? I heard of cascade 220 through lots of felting pattern, but haven’t tried the yarn itself yet.
