The Cat’s Bib*
I finally knitted a Mason-Dixon Knitting baby bib. What better model could I have other than Munchkin?
She has the same put-upon expression as in this picture from last year. After she escaped the terrible bib she glared at me in true cat fashion. (I was forgiven when I gave her a couple of treats and a belly rub.)
It’s a cute and quick project. I used one skein of the Bongo cotton left from the Cropped Cardigan. I didn’t want to break into the second skein so I rummaged around and found a bit of leftover dishcloth cotton to finish it; I like this effect.
Pattern: “Baby Bib O’Love” by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne, Mason-Dixon Knitting Size: Baby Yarn: Four Seasons Bongo white, 1 skein and leftover dishcloth cotton Needles: Brittany birch 10-inch US 7 (4.5 mm) single-points Started and completed: April 5, 2007

LOL! Love the glare! That’s a very cool effect, with the straps a different color.
Oh, the things we put our poor kitties through. Luckily, they are very forgiving souls :)
Awww…the kitty. Aren’t you afraid of retaliation lol?
Poor Munchkin. She’s puts up with so much…it’s obvious from the pictures.
So cute! I’ve made so many of those, once you’ve made one, the variations are endless.
Is there a blog ring we can join for people who torture their cats by making them model our knitting? Because I do it, too.
poor kitty. The stare is just hilarious. very cute. Cats are very generous, aren’t they? Just give them rub and snacks, you’re all set.
are you kidding me? That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen all day! Thanks for making me giggle.
My cat would sooner die than pose with a bib on!
that’s so weird! I finally knitted one too!
I like the color combo. Munchkin looks just a tad bit more patient than Chaos and Mayhem.
I love Munchkin :) That expression is plotting..
I want to send this to Cute Overload. It cries out to be seen by more folks!
I found your post online somewhere after I made my Mason Dixon bibs. I was inspired to take the same picture:
