Old and New
I continue to gain yardage.
First, I splurged a little bit after I received my income tax refund. I couldn’t resist the colors of that Fortissima (Mexico Evolution Silver), perfect for Project Spectrum. I hope I can start them next month! And I’ve been wanting to try one of the new bamboo yarns. This is also my first Jawoll; I figured I could use it as a contrast color someday.
How about something old? When I saw the colorway names of this Calzetteria sock yarn, I couldn’t resist buying several colors. I bought these last summer, but haven’t photographed them since. These will be used for gift socks this year. Notice how many of them work with Project Spectrum.
Clockwise from top left: 902 Florence, 903 Tuscany, 908 Venice, 906 Rome, 904 Naples, and 905 Verona.
Mom and I went on a shopping excursion to the MOA in early February (something we do once or twice a year). Petters had some Lion Brand Color Waves for $2.99, and I bought two red skeins to use for a Red Scarf next year.
And… I also won some terrific sock yarn from Louise.
I’ve always wanted to try Wildfoote; the color would be perfect for dragon socks. The other two would make some pretty colorwork socks too. Thanks Louise! :)

That Wildfoote is a great color for you!!! And you’re right - the Fortissima is perfect of PS.
Hmm, I should do my income taxes so I can treat myself to something…
Florence, Venice, Naples- yes please! Sign me up for a sock knitting trip to Italy, too. :)
Very nice sock yarn stash! I agree that the Wildfoote will make lovely dragon socks.
Sigh…taxes. But a lovely bunch of sock yarn!
Hello.
Such a nice range of sock yarn and colors as well.
I actually used the Wildfoote, lime green for the March Socks 2007 for Clickity Sticks. The post won’t be published until March 1st. Wildfoote is such a nice sock yarn. I can’t describe why though.
Hm. I don’t mind to have orange stripe color socks especially like Florence.
The Cervinia is lovely. That Wildfoote is an EXCELLENT color.
Hooray for sock yarn…I hope you will treat yourself to some of those socks!
