… and all I got was this cute t-shirt
Last week, Mom was invited to a preview of this exhibition at the Weisman Art Museum. She bought me a cool tee as a surprise (Thank you!).
If you can’t read the words, here’s another image.
The plaque design is a nice coppery color and says, “Dinkytown, Minn. Where Robert Zimmerman became Bob Dylan.” If you’re not familiar with Dinkytown, it’s an area just north of the Minneapolis East Bank campus. Even though I didn’t live there,* it’s always been my favorite area near the U of MN. Dylan spent some time there after he left his hometown of Hibbing, on his way to NYC. If you’re in the area and are interested in viewing the exhibition, Mom reports that she enjoyed the exhibits.
*When in graduate school, I lived in the 7 Corners area of Cedar-Riverside, next to the West Bank campus.

Cool t-shirt. I can’t decide if I want to go to that exhibit or not.
I love that T shirt!

I lived in Dinkytown for a while. Seven Corners always scared me! ;) The Willie Wisely Trio has a great song called “Dinkytown.”
