More Book Holders

(Updated October 2007)

I’m glad the book holder reviews have already been helpful to some people. I decided to write up my experiences with the different holders I tried because it isn’t always possible to tell from looking at a picture at a website if something will work the way you want. During the searching process, I made a list of all book holders that might work for reading while knitting. The complete list appears below for anyone who is interested in trying other options. If you know of any hands-free or nearly hands-free book holders that are not listed here, let me know. If you have a review and would like to share it, I would be happy to add a link or quote. (Note: I am not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned in the reviews or below.) Thanks for looking!

    Maybe the BookHug? http://www.ezbookclip.com/bookhug.htm
It looks like a person could cut off the back piece and then use velcro to attach it to a pillow in the same fashion as the ReadUpon????

Red light…I haven’t gotten a new one, because the last one I got was from Walmart and I just hate going there. I checked yesterday at Kmart, but no luck. I don’t remember if regular or lcd, but I’m thinking regular light. It was pretty cheap, maybe $15.

Thanks for putting this list together. Who knew there were so many options?

I’ve got a wire cook book stand that I use when reading and knitting and it is the best. Folds flat, holds trade paperbacks as well as hardcovers. Just not pocket paperbacks.

Hm… from all the book holders, I think I choose the bookmate 1 and 2.

Thank you for putting a list and reviews on them
