My cat licks plastic
How’s that for weird? I hate when Munchkin does that, I swear, it’s like she’s addicted. She likes to eat popcorn (plain), cream cheese, or ice cream and will sniff you out if you try and hide it from her. But I guess this post needs to be about me, so, here goes…
I was tagged by Stephanie for this meme going around currently. Recently, I also saw this conversation on Runaway Bride about how one person is weird, another quirky. Seems pretty much a matter of perspective.
THE RULES: Each player of this game starts with the “6 weird things about you.” People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly.
In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says ‘you are tagged’ in their comments and tell them to read your blog.
- I can slide my index or middle finger easily over the thumb base knuckle on my right hand.
- Mayonnaise tastes vile.
- I’ve always wanted an Uncle $crooge tattoo.
- I don’t like to eat salad from salad bars or restaurants.
- When eating small candies or snacks (eg: M&Ms, nuts, olives, etc), I always take two at a time.
- A weird food I eat is cottage cheese (left half) and applesauce (right half) together in a bowl. I claim bonus weird points for this because normally I don’t like my food to touch.

OMG! I thought I had the only weird cat that licks anything plastic - bags, bottles, straws, anything. She also licks anything that resembles plastic - bananas, glass table top, glass doors…. It’s good to know there are others out there just as weird :)
Mine likes overripe canteloupe, and will come running if she hears the “canteloupe bowl” clinking.
Oh yeah, May loves to lick plastic. And she just chewed up a few self-adhesive stamps…

My dog actually licks the metal frame of the sliding glass door at my parents. It’s very weird…she just licks and licks and licks and licks. This would certainly be on her list of weird things.

okay guys, about the whole cat licking plastic thing, well, i can beat that. your cats seriously aren’t eating the plastic too? because my cat, Butters, is so addicted to plastic that he has taught himself how to open cupboards to get to my grocery bag stash. i actually had to move them. but he eats the plastic! chews and chews and swallows until i catch him. i have seen him devour half a bag before. this can’t be good! needless to say, i scoop lots of plastic out of the litter box too. yikes. how bad do you think this is? (i asked my vet years ago, and he said it was real bad but just to keep it away from him, we try our hardest and he somehow finds it! he is otherwise a healthy 14 lbs cat)
oh, and he also freaks out over green olives!! loves them!
