Sock Yarn Love

I really do like sock yarn! They’re so colorful and fun to look at. Plus, you usually only need 1-2 skeins and that’s not as expensive as buying yarn for larger projects. Before I put myself on a yarn diet, I had acquired some fun and varied sock yarns. (Hey! Today, it’ll have been been 5 weeks! Yay!)
Opal Petticoat with green and purple (natch!) striping.
I shopped the Labor Day Sale at Cherry Tree Hill, and lucked out with these two skeins of (now discontinued) Super Glitz in Wild Cherry and Java (mmm!). Also included is Supersock Solid in Amethyst (a bit more purple than shown).
I finally discovered the back room at Borealis Yarns! I loved a certain display sock and got the same colorway of this ONLinie Highland Supersocke. Brown/White/Gray ragg stripes.
This last purchase put me over the edge. The skein at top should look familiar; it’s the Wicked yarn I awarded in Contest #3. The other skein is one of the Zebrato II types from The Fiber Denn (I can’t remember which one right now).
The Rockin’ Sock Club from BMFA also brought two new sock yarns to my mailbox.
Titania (such gorgeous, deep, autumn colors).
Pink Granite (perfect neutrals!). I might try to convert Mom to wool socks with this yarn, STR is so soft! ; )

Wow you’re doing better with your yarn diet than me>:b Looks like you got some great purchases before you started losing (yarn) weight!

You just discovered the back room at Borealis? Man, you’ve been missing out! It’s where all the best stuff hangs out :-)

Sock yarn rules. Socks are inexpensive projects; at least that is what I tell myself. Borealis has the best selection of sock yarn with their amazing wall of yarn. Titania looks seriously slobbericious.
