Remember these Halloween treat bags I posted earlier? Turns out Nicole is right about the black bag being a cat! My mom and I couldn’t figure it out, I think because the lighting was pretty bad and it was all floppy. There’s a much better picture at the store’s website.
Though I haven’t installed WordPress, I’ve been researching the plugins and features available to see how well it’ll meet my needs. (Originally, I thought I would need a Content Management System that included a blog, which is why I chose Drupal. Don’t get me wrong, Drupal works great, but I feel it is better suited for communities or websites than for blogs.) I’ve been browsing the many themes available for WordPress; I just had to share this one. Beautiful and amazing design, but I wonder if it would bog down slower computers/browsers/connections. (Click on these little thumbnails under the header on that theme, and the background changes.)
Coming later this week, sock reports, secret pal wrap-up, and swap goodies!

I just switched to WordPress and it is working out really well. My new server (Host Gator) actually installs it automatically with the push of a button. Some people say my page loads faster with no photo problems like it had in Blogger.

That’s very cool! I think that I only had complaints when I was trying a 3 column style, and that was from someone on a Sidekick. Overall, the WP stuff seems to load faster than a lot of the blogger stuff.

Checked out the different themes, no problems viewing at all. The sky one is cool. The eye one is FREAKY.

It still doesn’t look much like a cat lol!!
Good luck with the wordpress install! B2evolution is what my brother-in-law installed for me about a year ago, and I’m pretty happy with that, I probably wouldn’t take the time to switch over to anything else even though I know enough now that I could try… (I haven’t even updated b2evo when I should… :-P) The only thing I wish it had, was a better spam blocker…
Oooh that’s a spiffy site, I love how all you’re really changing is the background, but it changes the whole look of the page! Very nice…
