Slowly Catching Up
I uploaded these pictures but hadn’t gotten around to blogging about them, so here you go.
First: I finished the collar and buttonbands on Diamond Lace. My cardi is about an inch or two shorter than the pattern. And the pattern’s buttons are arranged in groups of two (is there a technical term for this type of button layout?), which wasn’t much to my (and the intended recipient’s) liking. So I had to do some slightly scary math to redistribute the buttons evenly. (The buttonholes are difficult to view in the picture below, though.)
Second Socks: I finished the Errant Ankles lace socks! They look beautiful, but the pictures are on my camera still; I’ll be sure to post them later this week.
Last month, I started knitting with the yummy Trekking XXL sent to me by my 1SSP Molly. The original plan was to knit the current 6Sox KAL pattern. I discovered, however, that while the pattern and yarn matched up well, the knitter was definitely a third wheel. I couldn’t jibe with the pattern, and decided to try an older 6Sox pattern, Fluted Baninster. No more third wheel!
I’ve been thinking about what to do with this blog/site. Responding to comments can be a hassle; there’s a number of steps I have to perform, whether I respond via email or comment. So I’ve been pondering several options. Right now, I’m leaning towards two choices, keeping drupal (the software platform I use) and closing guest/anonymous commenters, or switching to WordPress. The latter option would take me time to research, prepare, and import. I just checked the gallery plugins—there are quite a few and I have no idea which one matches my needs/wants.

Love the cardi and the socks. That Trekking colorway is fabulous. Good luck making decisions about your site. I know you are a busy lady. Don’t want to take time away from your passions to deal with administrative stuff.
That Trekking is gorgeous — dark, rich — yummy!
Hee hee - I’m as interesed in the ears seen over Diamond Lace as in Diamond Lace itself! Hmm? Lovely Trekking.
The socks are interesting and the cardigan is cute. What kind of buttons did you pick?
Usually I get so few comments that it is not an issue for me but if I were ever to have such a great problem, I would probably follow Wendy’s lead and use the questions to write up the next post.
