Have you ever seen a limedragon? They’re terribly camera-shy, and quite rare.
One was spotted and photographed while at Stitches Midwest in August 2006. Your quest is to find that picture.
During the next three months, I have five pairs of gift socks to knit. The yarns I will be using are from the Opal Rainforest 2005 collection: Tiger, Zebra, Ladybug, Flamingo, and Parrot.
I could knit all the socks in plain rib or stockinette because of the variegation/striping. But that’s not very exciting, and I know I would struggle to meet my goal.

knitting, socks, sweaters | 4 stitchesI guess I haven’t been a very good knitblogger lately. :/ Partly because I’ve been obsessively knitting a stalled shawl and then a simple scarf for a silent auction fundraiser, another scarf of my own design, and partly because of the technology blahs.
The Thursday before Labor Day, Mom and I went to the MN State Fair. Our first stop was the Creative Activities building where you can see all the entries in the crafts and baking competitions. Here are a few pictures of interesting things I saw or liked. (Sorry, no sock monkeys! Actually—we couldn’t find the famed dresses.)
