Secret Pal Goodies

Woohoo, last week, I received my first Secret Pal packages!

First to arrive was this luscious skein of Cherry Tree Hill Supersock in Potluck Jewels. My pictures of the entire hank didn’t turn out well (you can’t see all the colors). It’s so much yummier, with deep, rich colors.

But here’s a closeup where you can see the colorway better.

(Did you notice this fits in with June Project Spectrum? And the USPS Priority logo on the envelope too, heh.) I do believe I would like to use this for the new June/July 2006 “Color Blox Sox” from the Six Sox Yahoogroup. I’ll do my best to start them this month.

Next to arrive was this fabulous skein from my 1SSP.

Believe it or not, I think this picture doesn’t quite do the yarn justice, the colors are true, but the vibrancy doesn’t come across. I’m liking this loopy thick-and-thin boucle, very cool! “Umm, what do I make with it?” I have no idea! I checked the TSC website and found only a few patterns using Sabrina.

Recently, I was bitten by the Moebius bug and have a urge to knit one (something I’ve never done). So, maybe my Sabrina skein is destined to be a small Moebius… Or I might luck out with a coordinating yarn for a larger project.
