Cropped Cardigan with Diamond Lace panels will be knit with lovely cotton Bongo yarn. This will not be smooth sailing, because this yarn is full of knots! Never you mind that this is a Leisure Arts pattern; it’s perfect for the intended recipient.

Phase A Cardi Back. COMPLETED! Picture this week?

Phase B Cardi R and L Front with lace inserts; these will be worked simulatenously. Will start this month.

Phase C Cardi Sleeves. Easy Peasy.

Deadline for completion late August.

Early comments So far we’re on track. Expectations are high that we will finish with success, knots withstanding, and become a lovely gifted cardigan.

Team Member #2:

Jackie’s Errant Ankles Lace socks

Although deigned as an online lesson, we’re focusing on the pattern only. Fairydust, a lovely blue-purple-green colorway in Over the Rainbow’s Twinkletoes from stash, has volunteered to become this pair.

Early Comments We haven’t even started yet. There’s at least one pair of socks that need to be completed ASAP (for the SYAC Spring Feet Sock Swap) and more sock yarn crying out “Knit me! Knit me!” Our goal is to be in full participation by July.

In the Wings (or Impatiently Waiting for their Full Potential to be Realized):

In my stash is a pound of fingering weight yarn (from Blackberry Hills), which has amazing (and varied) color. The yarn tells me it wants to be a modular blanket or stole, but agrees that the Diamond Fantasy shawl would be lovely.

The Garden Path Shawl would be the ultimate project. No yarn in my stash exists for this. If I could, I would start one during the TAL.

UPDATE: Oh! I forgot about this yarn, 8 oz of laceweight from Joslyn’s Fiber Farm. Even though the GPS uses worsted weight, I’ll knit a sample and see if I like the results.
