Back on Track!

I’m so happy! Finally, I frogged what I had knitted on these socks last Thursday.

At first, I frogged only halfway to see if they could be saved this way, but I still wasn’t happy, so RIP, everything went. I was in a positive mood, so I restarted immediately and have been working on them since.

I did do a test swatch first to see if I liked the gauge with US1.5s (2.5mm) and it was so much better.

The 5-inch Brittany DPNs are working out well so far. The working needle point will sometimes poke me in the center of my palm. But the tip is blunt enough that it does not cause me any pain or discomfort. The CP 6″ DPNs are handy as stitch holders, since I am working on only one sock at a time with DPNs.

PS, another May Project Spectrum bakcground—this time, a sage green!

UPDATED to add a response to my Spring Feet SS pal: Great to see you. I love most colors, particularly the deeper or darker colors (ex: jewel or muted shades). My least favorite color is yellow, and sometimes orange, but I don’t mind them as accents etc, when they show up in variegated or self-striping yarns. Thanks! : )
